- Providing facility planning support for campus planning
efforts
Architectural & Engineering Services
- Selection of consultants and preparing agreements
- Design and specification by consultants for projects over
$50,000 in construction cost
- Design and specification by in house staff for projects
under $50,000 in construction cost
- Code compliance reviews and issuance of building permits
- Bidding, award and contract preparation
- Construction management and inspection
- Warranty and close-out phase coordination
- Review and approval of project at critical phased by in
house staff and various other entities. (Regents, User Groups,
Central Administration, State Fire Marshal, Environmental
Health and Safety, Landscape Services, Telecommunications,
Building Systems Maintenance, Custodial Services, Utilities,
ADA Compliance Officer, Project Review Board, Aesthetic
Review Committee, State Health Department, State Task Force
for Building Renewal, etc.)
- Project Communications and coordination between all parties
involved or impacted by the project
- Keeping project on track (within budget, approved scope
and schedule)
- Review and approval of pay applications from consultants,
contractors and other vendors
- Preparation of Regent's agenda items at the required phases
of the project
